My husband and I worked with Meg on the sale of our home in South Elgin and the purchase of our home in St Charles. Meg Whitted is an exceptional realtor. Working with her on a recent sale, we found her expertise in staging the home and negotiating its sale to be key strengths. She was available when needed, contacted us as necessary, but didn't contact us excessively or "for show." Meg and her team went above and beyond from day one. The whole process started for my husband and I when we saw a house online that we wanted to go see. At that point, Meg called me to get to know "us" and overall goals for the process and a brief overview of the suburb market. A few weeks later when we were serious about starting the process, she set up an in person meeting to go over everything her team has to offer, current houses for sale and market trends over the last several years where we were interested in purchasing! Anytime we were interested in seeing a house, she was able to pull through for us, and ultimately ended up writing us several offers on houses. She is nothing short of amazing, and she defines the perfect buyers realtor. If we ever decide to sell, she will be the first person I call (we don't see this happening anytime soon though!!). Meg and The Mrs. Whitted Collective is by far the best of the best!!!! We call her team the dream team as far as selling/home buying! We first met Meg back in 2019 to sell our home. Meg was everything we could have asked for in a realtor. When it came time to find a new house, she was beyond patient with us while we tried to figure out exactly what we wanted. She was more than willing to go look at all types of properties (small houses close to town, homes in the country on an acre, move-in ready, total gut jobs, etc.) until we found the house that was just right. For each property, she was able to provide insight as to where upgrades were needed, the estimated return on investment, potential downsides to a property, etc. This really helped us make the right choice in terms of budget, needs vs. wants, and overall investment. From the time we put an offer on the house, through the intense negotiations, to closing, it was a pretty easy process. We used a lot of Meg’s recommended colleagues (inspectors, lawyer, mortgage broker), and everyone worked together seamlessly. When it came to selling our townhouse, Meg handled it with perfection. She did an initial walk-through, gave us a manageable to-do list and we were on the market in no time. It was just a matter of days before we were in negotiations and then under contract. Again, Meg’s team worked together and closed that deal with ease. Real Estate can obviously be a hot mess, and extremely stressful. Having the right people, especially a realtor, makes a world of difference. Meg is able to help through the buying and selling process with a great balance of professionalism, directness, patience and understanding. Meg Whitted and her staff at Baird & Warner were the consummate professionals while representing our property in St. Charles, IL during the summer and fall of 2022. Meg was everything we could have asked for in a realtor. When it came time to find a new house, she was beyond patient with us while we tried to figure out exactly what we wanted. She was more than willing to go look at all types of properties (small houses close to town, homes in the country on an acre, move-in ready, total gut jobs, etc.) until we found the house that was just right.
